Despite the years and the success, Jessica and Francisco Mejias are still down-to-earth, friendly, and have not lost their Chilean accent. Business partners, Jessica and Francisco own two bakeries, one in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., another in North Bergen, N.J. Both have the same name: Los Andes Bakery. Both bakeries sell traditional Chilean bread such as marraquettas, hallullas, and pan amasado. They also make and sell baked empanadas made from meat, cheese, and shellfish. They make pastries such as berlines, brazo de reina, cuchuflies, torta de milhojas, and merengue. Between the two bakeries, Jessica and Franciso sell more than 1,000 empanadas a week. They have been in business since 1991.

Socios comerciales, marido y mujer, Jessica y Francisco Mejias son propietarios de dos panaderias. Una en Sleepy Hollow, Nueva York, y otra en North Bergen, Nueva Jersey, en Estados Unidos. Las dos llevan el mismo nombre.. Los Andes Bakery. En ambas venden marraquetas y hallullas (los tipicos panes chilenos, incluido al amasado), empanadas de horno, de queso y de mariscos. Ademas berlines, brazos de reina, cuchuflies, torta de milhojas y de merengue. Entre los dos locales venden mil empanadas a la semana. Desde 1991 estan establecidos con sus panaderias.
